Sportaction the home of Triathlon on Lake Iseo.
The Triathlon division was born from a group of friends who share their spare time together between fun, effort, courage, determination, leisure and tenacity with the aim of crossing every finish line together.
Triathlon has landed at Sportaction thanks to a great person and a great athlete: Paolo Pegurri, now the person in charge of the most athletic and tiring section of Sportaction: athlete, multiple iroman, with many competitions-adventures always conducted with great passion.
The Sportaction base in Grè becomes the ideal place to host the group of athletes who practice this sport that brings together the disciplines of swimming, cycling and running, uniting them without there being a solution of continuity between them, in a only proof.
To be able to practice this sport you need a lot of training! Athletes must in fact pass without interruption from one sport to another, demonstrating excellent conditional skills such as strength and endurance, but also good coordination skills, having to express completely different sports gestures during their effort, such as swimming, pedaling and running.
Triathlon is made up of three aerobic disciplines that require a different commitment from the point of view of the muscle groups involved in each discipline; it can therefore be said that the triathlete is a cross-country skier, an athlete dedicated to endurance sports, with a complete and harmonious muscular development, which makes him a complete sportsman from all points of view. Triathlon is therefore not, as some might think, the sum of three sports but a real sport in its own right.
The triathlon is divided into the following competition distances:
- Triathlon kids -puppies- (50m swim, 1km MTB, 500m run)
- Triathlon kids -beginners- (100m swim, 2km MTB, 1000m run)
- Triathlon kids-boys- (200m swim, 4km MTB, 1500m run)
- Super Sprint (400m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run)
- Sprint (0.750km swim, 20km bike, 5km run)
- Olympic (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run)
- Medium (2.5 km swim, 80 km bike, 20 km run)
- Long (4 km swim, 120 km bike, 30 km run)
- Ironman (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run)
“Man, try to live well and think that every day is worth a life.
Live intensely every moment of your existence.
Life is not waiting for the storm to pass,
but learn to dance in the rain”
(cit. Aldo Rock)
